It's the Halloween Blog Hop 2014! Thank you JoLynne Valerie for inviting me to take place!
I hope you enjoyed Andrew Brewer's post. I'd like to kick off this blog hop with a giveaway! Does anyone have ghost stories they would like to share? If so, please comment on this post and share! I'll be sure to share it on facebook with your permission. I'll pick a winner and send that reader a paperback of their choice from my line of books! Is it a real story or not? That is completely up to you! Now here is MY ghost story! I think we all have a few ghost stories that we have experienced once or twice in our lifetime. One of which, that happened to me, was a haunting in the home my mother used to own. At night, the nightstand would rattle and sounds would knock. During the day, nothing. I went to my mother explaining this. Keep in mind, I'm only 20 years of age (omg 20 years ago!). She naturally didn't believe me. "There's no such thing as silly ghosts." Oh yeah? Come sleep in my room! Sure enough, that night nightstand rattled, noises and sounds erupted in my bedroom and my mom said "she felt something there." Needless to say, we asked the spirit to leave and it did just that. Neither of us know if it was something real? If it were both our imaginations? Or if something was trying to make contact. It scared the jeepers out of me! So next question: was this story real or fabricated? I'll let you decide. (insert spooky noises here) This closes up my edition of the blog hop. Up next is Susan Hanniford-Crowley!

I think your story is real..(Why else would you admit your age :) lol) I never believed in spirits until my grandmother died. That night, I felt her holding my hand (the same hand that I held when she took her last breath.) My ghost story isn't scary, but it's true. Every night for a week, I felt like she was holding my hand when I laid down to sleep.

The most recent, while living in a 3 bedroom house, on a dead end road no less, I converted one of the bedrooms into a play room for my two boys.

I don't know if this is necessarily a ghost story per say but when I went to Germany on holiday, my family and I went to the Dachau Concentration Camp to visit as well as Berlin (we went to other places but these two stuck out). Both places were very eerie, you could feel the sadness that was there and the horrible things that went down. I don't know if it was ghosts there that gave me that feeling or what. But you could definitely feel there was some sort of presence there.

We live in the house that used to belong to my husband's grandmother. She passed away here. Anyway, when my youngest daughter was born I was alone on the weekend. My husband was in the military. I woke in the middle of the night, freezing. The air conditioner had been turned down to 40 degrees. It was only me, and I know I didn't do it.
